Just breathe.

We all have those days. Those 'I hate this day' moments. Some worse than others, some longer lasting. But just stop, and take a step back. It will work out! Do something you enjoy or contact a loved one. Even if it's just a 'today is not my day, I don't care to talk about it, but how are you?' Use the things that you love to take your mind away, and I promise, you can always find someone who is willing to listen.

Much love.

it's that time again.

Yup, you heard right- school has begun again. I can't believe how quickly summer went by.
A new school year (go UVU). A sophomore. And a second year on the dance team. It's crazyyy! But this year feels different, I'm not even sure if it's a different good or bad! Just different.
It's going to be a good year, I can already feel it. I can already tell you that a lot of changes are going to happen and a lot of stepping out of my box is going to have to occur.
I'm still not sure what I'm going to go into yet, but I really feel that only time can tell that. All I can do is just go with it and make the best of whatever comes along the way. Who knows what could happen!

So here's to good luck and a good school year. :)

Thunder & Lighting & Raining

Blue heart
There's nothing better than a thunderstorm.
The sound of pouring rain and the thunder rumbling through the sky. The smell. Fresh. Safe. Comforting. A pure feeling of content. It makes me feel so small, yet so alive.

Perfect for a sad day, a happy day, or just a day. Cuddling up, a good book, a workout, journaling, dancing in the rain, or just sitting, watching, inside, outside.

It reminds me a lot of moments. All the moments and memories that have passed, and all that may be to come. Feeling everything and nothing all at the same time.

A happiness of the heart.

Memories Make for a Beautiful Life.

The Dance Spot

or

Central Utah Stars as I used to know it.

I have made some of the best memories and best friends being a part of this program.
Leaving was by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do.
And by far the easiest decision was to stay throughout my high school years.

I started dance at the age of 4 and I came to stars when I was 6, where I danced for 12 years.
I always remember loving dance, but I never took it seriously until I was about 14 years old. At about that time, quite the change happened at the studio. A very loved staff member dropped it all and left, just when I had found that dancing is what I wanted. It was a rough time! That's when life changed again and forever after that. A previous stars member was brought back into the picture, to start teaching. In a nutshell- she changed my life, in more ways than I can say.
I love studio life. I love competition atmospheres. I love being a part of a team.
I am so grateful for the experience I have had, and lucky enough, will continue to have being a part of their staff.
Just this year, there has been a name change, from Central Utah Stars to The Dance Spot, but just because it's called something different doesn't make it any less of my home. <3

I miss this part of my life. Every day.

You.Inspire.

Those people who just make a difference. <3
We were lucky enough to work with an amazing human being for the dance team. He came and not only choreographed us a wonderful routine but was willing to give and share so much with us.
I seriously feel like I learned so much from him and am so inspired.
His last speech in short-
'Be the best in all things. Go not for the win but above and beyond the win. Go for "that moment". Not just in dancing but in life. Be the best girlfriend, the best sister, the best student... Just give everything to everything. If you're going to do something, then you better do it and do it freaking good. You're dreams should be so big that they scare you. You just have to believe in yourself.' "Head up, eyes forward."
I took so much from him while he was here, and I'm not going to let it go to waste. Cause in a nut shell, he may have just changed my life.
